Alzheimer 's disease is the sixth leading cause of death in the United States today, with an estimated 5.4 million Americans of all ages living with the disease. These numbers are expected to escalate rapidly in the coming years, as the baby boom genera- tion has begun to reach age 65 and beyond, the age range of greatest risk of Alzheimer 's. Raising awareness ASHA has created a National Team in the Walk to End Alzhei- mer 's, the nation's largest event 2017 PRDG Walk to End Alzheimer's team.
