For more information visit THE INS FAMILY OF COMPANIES NHI CEO Hutchens resigns; joins HCP as chief investment ofcer Irvine, Calif. — Jus- tin Hutchens, CEO and president of National Health Investors (NYSE: NHI), a pub- licly traded REIT, has resigned his position. Hutchens is leaving the company to become executive vice president and chief investment offcer of seniors housing for Irvine-based HCP Inc., one of the largest REITs in the seniors housing industry. Hutchens has also relinquished his position on the NHI board of directors. Hutchens joined NHI in 2009 and has served as president and CEO since 2011. "I am proud of the work done over the past seven years to grow and diversify NHI and believe NHI is well-positioned for the future," says Hutchens. "I remain excited about the direction of the company and wish the entire NHI team all the best." Eric Mendelsohn, NHI's cur- rent executive vice president of corporate fnance, will take over as interim president and CEO while the company "initiates a search of internal and external candidates" for a permanent replacement, according to Andy Adams, chair- man of the board of directors. "We welcome Justin to HCP and look forward to his leader- ship of our seniors housing and post-acute/hospital portfolios," says Lauralee Martin, HCP's presi- dent and CEO. "Justin is an accom- plished executive with a proven track record in REIT investments and senior care operations." Based in Murfreesboro, Tenn., NHI is a REIT specializing in sale-leaseback, joint-venture, mort- gage and mezzanine fnancing of seniors housing and medical invest- ment properties. NIC names digital analytics specialist Brian Jurutka president Annapolis, Md. — The National Invest- ment Center for Seniors Housing & Care (NIC) has appointed Brian Jurutka its new presi- dent. Jurutka joins NIC from comScore Inc., a digital analyt- ics company, where he served as senior vice president, telecom, and general manager for the company's wireless operator analytics division. "I couldn't be more excited to have Brian Jurutka join NIC," says John Moore, CEO of Atria Senior Living and chair of NIC's Board of Directors. "At such an important time for seniors housing and care and NIC's mission, it was crucial for us to fnd a proven leader with the right background to join [NIC CEO] Bob [Kramer] and help NIC continue to build for the future." A former nuclear submarine off- cer, Jurutka brings more than two decades of leadership experience in analytics, business development, operational management, and data system development and integra- tion. Prior to comScore, Jurutka was with Capital One's direct banking organization where he launched and managed the company's frst deposit product partnership in addition to overseeing various stra- tegic partnerships. In his role as NIC's president, Jurutka will assume responsibility for day-to-day management and operations of the organization with particular focus on building the infrastructure for NIC to deliver on its agenda of delivering transpar- ency to capital markets, advancing quality and availability of seniors housing and care, and fostering leadership development. "I'm excited to have someone with signifcant background and experience with analytics," says Kramer. "As we look toward the future, the seniors housing sector, like most other verticals, requires more and more data to help drive decisions. Brian's diverse background and experience in partnerships, analytics, sales and operations will help us continue to position NIC as the leading pro- vider of actionable data for inves- tors on the seniors housing and care sector." Jurutka holds an M.B.A from Brenau University and a B.S. from the United States Naval Academy in aerospace engineering. Walker & Dunlop hires Jack Boudler to manage seniors housing in FHA fnance group Bethesda, Md. — Walker & Dunlop (NYSE: WD) has hired Jack Boudler as a senior vice president in its FHA fnance group.
